Charter Information

TRIM AGAIN, berthed in Watch Hill Harbor, Watch Hill, RI, is available with a captain for two hour, three hour, and half-day sailing charters, cocktail or dinner cruises for up to four guests. Enjoy the wildlife of the quiet back bays while ghosting along under sail, or perhaps a classic sailing excursion to Fisher's Island Sound, or a sunset cruise on Little Narragansett Bay while savoring fine wines and hors d'ourves paired and prepared by The Ocean House. Combine a day of sailing with a night or two at the famed Victorian hotel, the last iconic New England seaside resort.  Spring and fall land & sea packages available. Accommodation

Large comfortable berth with seating for four / dining area.  Two long, comfortable settees starboard and port, enclosed head, a wardrobe, and a large starboard side galley with stove, stainless sink and storage. The large beam gives TRIM AGAIN the interior and exterior feel of a 35' plus vessel.  Proceeds from all TRIM AGAIN charters benefit the Mystic Seaport Museum.

Charter rates - Two Hour - $550 / Member $500; Three Hour - $650 / $575 ; Half-Day - $750 / $650.

History 

TRIM AGAIN is a 24’ catboat fashioned after the Daniel Crosby Catboat TRIM. Eldredge-McInnis of Boston provided the design and she was built by Merton E. Long and Ed Ryder. She was laid down in October 1957 in a boathouse specifically built for her on the estate of Stanley Ferguson, in Wings Neck, MA, and launched on Memorial Day 1959. A founding Catboat of the Catboat Association, TRIM AGAIN has been in the care of Mr. Jack Spratt for more than 20 years.

TRIM AGAIN is considered the finest cruising Catboat ever commissioned. Merton Long had enough of the finest teak, cedar, white oak and mahogany money could buy and enough materials were ordered to build three boats so that only thebest materials were used. TRIM AGAIN’s maintenance reflects that legacy of quality: in 2010 she wasre-fastenedusing #16 monel fasteners!
