Launched in 1967 by the De Vries Shipyard, "THE HIGHLANDER" was the third Forbes yacht until she was destroyed in a galley fire in 1980. Since then the yacht has passed through several owners, with the present having painstakingly restored her to her original glory.
THE HIGHLANDER’S Main Salon and VIP cabin have a colonial feeling with high gloss Teak paneling, white carpet and comfortable Indonesian style furnishings and accessories. The aft cabins are finished with high glossed teak paneling, teak and holly soles (the master is carpeted) and white bedding. The en-suite heads are finished with high quality polished stainless steel fittings, the master bath features a tub-shower combination and the two twins and VIP feature showers.
Amenities – Plasma TVs / DVD throughout; iPod docking stations throughout. Leisure – 17-foot Nautica 90hp tender, 17’ Aquasport 70hp tender, two 3-person Sea-Do jet skis.
Accommodation
THE HIGHLANDER accommodates eight guests plus six crew; she features a full-width master cabin amidships below deck with a king-sized bed, one twin cabin on the portside with two twin sized beds , one twin cabin aft with raised bunk style berths and one VIP stateroom on the main deck forward with a queen sized bed.
Member term charter rates – $47,500 per week low season; $57,000 per week high season.
